Description:
Many of the soldiers buried in this cemetery were killed during two battles of the War of 1812. The points on the fence remind me of the baynets used during much of the fighting. This area of New York is a beautiful and serene with the main battlefield overlooking Lake Ontario.

Excellent composition! The fence is like a series of bayonets- a grim reminder that those laid to rest in the background did not die peacefully. I wish I had your eye for urban photography.

Fred, This is a profound and strong image. I, of course like your entire website on FAA . Thanks for the comment about my sepia Southwestern painting. I agree with you. I think it looks better in sepia, in this case, than in color. Enjoy your weekend and for that matter, enjoy your life, Smiles, Anne
